Why I do this
It’s not that I didn’t want to get out, it was more so not finding anything worth leaving the house for.
There's actually cool stuff happening in the desert. You just have to know where to look.
Finding out about what’s happening in the desert usually meant:
- Scrolling through 15+ different Instagram accounts
- Searching a FB Group only to leave empty handed
- Hoping you stumble across a flyer at the coffee shop
- Finding websites that haven't been updated since 2000…
A problem I kept running into which inevitably ended up with, you guessed it: staying home.
So now I do the research instead.
Every week, I:
- Dig up the events worth your time
- Talk to the people making things happen locally
- Locate the resources you might not know existed (or forgot about)
Then I package it all up in a format that helps you decide what to do.
No LA stuff. Just practical info from someone who drives the same roads and wants the same thing you do. To feel good about living here.
